Modifier Set Types

There are two options when you create a modifier set:

  1. Single — Only one option from the modifier set can be applied to a given item
  2. Multiple — Multiple options from the modifier set can be applied to a given item.

If your modifier set is something like “Toppings” where a customer can have more than one applied to their item (e.g. sprinkles, whipped cream, and a cherry), you’ll want to choose Multiple.

If your modifier set is strict, for example if a customer wants to add onions to their hamburger, create a set named “Onions” and choose Single. Then when a customer is ordering, your point of sale will only allow you to choose one option (e.g. “Grilled Onions”, or “Add Onions”).
